OKAY! Wow, this is my first deviation in a long time, isn't it? My scanner's been busted for a long time and I got a pen tablet for Christmas; I decided to give it a shot! This picture was done completely on the computer from start to finish, and I'm quite proud of it~! ^-~
This is Tinker, the hard-working ... well ... tinker. =3 I've had this character in my head for a long time, and a story is slowly starting to develop around her--surprisingly enough, the plot sounds quite shonen. (Geared towards a male audience)
She lives on a desert planet where people let their mechanical abilities determine their fighting power. Tinker loves to do work on anything mechanical, but like most shonen heroines she is quite stubborn and tough and easily gets into fights with local gangs and into races with thugs. Tinker enjoys the multitude of mechanics on her planet, but she's always wanted to see what else was out in the universe. Somehow or another, fate steps in and offers her a way out with the chance to travel with a space rogue.
If I could; what kind of space rogue should he be, readers? A smart young man who is secretly perverted? A tough guy who gets into heated arguments with her easily? Or maybe, should he be a logical stiff who doesn't have a bit of humor in his whole body?
I have so many possibilities going through my mind. Incidentally, if someone out there wants to draw a character they think would work well with Tinker, give it a shot and let me know!
Wow, Lost-I-Canada! This looks really amazing! How did you do the stars? Awh, you're so lucky you got a pen tablet for Christmas, all I got was just an Xbox with 3 games, LOL
I am practicing how make 2D paintings on the computer, (after asking around what program to use for this), and I've added a few new pictures to my gallery if you want to see. Today my laptop arrives and my dad might buy a scanner whenever he goes to the city this week, once that happens, I'll have all my sketchbook pictures submitted on the site. But right at this very moment, I am working on a 3D fictional yet closely Egyptian style palace from the story I'm writing, and if it looks good in the end, I might put it on too.
Any way, enough about myself, I hope to see more of your computer art and I suggest to keep up the good work. Nice to see you on DA again!

Love the fact I got a reply so quickly! ^^ I will definitely be looking at the new pictures you posted, too. The background of stars is actually something that was created as a brush for photoshop by a fellow deviant--I regret to say that I forget the name. But the brush was created by someone else; I only used it in this picture.

As I said, this is an awesome spin off of Tinker as I first remember her. She appears much more ... womanly, now. Mature, for lack of a better word. And yet, she still retains that 'bit of' spunk, which is absolutely wonderful. ;D You always do a good job with your characters. I don't think I tell you that enough.
Anyway, again, good job. I hope you continue to put up your works here (so I can stalk you). XD
I'm so glad you see her spunkiness. ^v~ I tried to keep it there as much as possible. The reason she's matured is more than likely because I'm thinking of her being in a show geared towards males. It might be a bit stereotypical, but there you have it.
And I most certainly will leave a trail for you to stalk, Fox! xD I'm looking forward to further comments from you in the future~
